I signed this pledge because the truth is an essential building block of a well functioning democracy. We must be honest with the people in order to best represent their interests and advocate for solutions that address societal challenges. As we can see from the leadership of Trump, untruths can lead to corruption, destruction, and death. This is simply unacceptable. We must do better.
