I signed the pro truth pledge because we must have elected officials who make decisions based on our shared reality rather than lies and the religious doctrines we see the right wing propagandize. Lugenpresse or fake news has been a tactic of fascism for well over a century. It is our responsibility, our duty, as American citizens of the United States to fight for truth, reality, science, equality, and freedom. When we capitulate to the ignorant and those with malicious intent, we have already lost.
