It is important for civilization and a functioning democracy that we have transparent and truthful leadership. It is also important that those seeking positions of leadership over the public do so with honesty and integrity. Shifting our cultural norms to appreciate and uplift truth over sensationalism is a timely and important cause in our current political climate. I am also signing as a lover of both scientific method and ethical political advocacy, in hopes that scientific consensus is foundational in our world to support the mindful development and administration of safe and humane political policy.
