As a member of the scientific community, I strive to discover what is true and I depend upon others to share their truthful accounts of their own research. But my mission is undermined by those who deny the current scientific consensus on any issue and spread disinformation about it simply because that consensus interferes with their personal and political interests or contradicts what their wishful thinking. I took the Pro-Truth Pledge to emphasize my own commitment to be truthful and to encourage others to be truthful as well.
